valentine sweets board

when hearts start popping up all over town, we collect a few of our favorites + put them on a board to share. the extra treats + snacks tuck into the bento boxes for lunch or find their way onto an afterschool snack board so we don’t have too many leftovers after the holiday passes. would also be great split into smaller boards for a fun mini-party feel.

building blocks:
(serves 4-6)

mini dark chocolate heart cookies —the sprinkles are the cutest!
milk chocolate strawberry marshmallow hearts
shortbread + raspberry jam heart cookies
lavender shortbread cookies | see more here
speculoos cookies
valentine peanut m&ms
and/or mini red + pink m&ms
x & o gummies

+ for a savory addition:
fig + olive crisps
mini goat cheese log, honey is a favorite with our kids

also right at home on this board:
chocolate bonbons –we love supporting small local asheville business, french broad chocolate!
chocolate chips for a lighter chocolate option
fresh raspberries, strawberries, bananas –all of ours keep disappearing
frozen yogurt or ice cream
alternatively, a scoop or two of greek yogurt, for a little balance

tips & tricks:
small, themed napkins are a perfect finishing touch to this board + cheer up the utensil drawer throughout the month!

create interest on your board with a layered look by simply adding some bites into small bowls
