ready to elevate your kids’ palates?! my kids adore goat cheese…because of their many charcuterie boards over the years! your kids can also love to appreciate cheese beyond the typical american, cheddar, mozzarella, just try this fun halloween themed bruschetta + for a savory touch, swap strawberries for tomatoes.
building blocks:
(serves 2-4)
baguette
goat cheese
balsamic glaze
optional toppings:
strawberries
basil
directions:
(5-10 minutes)
for the crostini:
prepare a full size sheet pan with parchment paper
preheat oven to 350*
slice the baguette into 1/2″-3/4″ thick pieces
drizzle or brush evoo over each slice
sprinkle with salt + or pepper (to your/your kids’ taste)
toast in the oven for 3-5 minutes, option: flip over halfway thru
cool the crostini, slightly
cut 1/4″ piece of goat cheese log onto a spreader
spread onto each crostini, creating a ghostly shape see image + don’t forget to use your imagination!
add two eyes with a tiny dab of balsamic glaze; feel free to practice on a nearby surface first to get the hang of it.
enjoy it alone or
fancy it up a bit by adding a sliced strawberry or cherry tomato + basil
we hope you love the way your kids will find
their new favorite foods when they eat from a board!
