“from the nutella to the parmesean bites, everything is DELI-CIOUS!” — our kids
this week’s dinner on a board with a bonus because friday is the girls’ first digital learning day of the semester + it always makes it feel like the weekend has come a day early. so there are a few extra sweets here celebrating that feeling with some nutella for dipping & a fruit + nut trail mix. we just hafta throw in some apples, pepperonis + some creamy swiss cheese triangles with mini pretzel rods + a few pringles for a little crunch + strawberries for dipping. for the final touch, mini star shaped cucumbers add just the right bit of school spirit + reflect the stars in our eyes for this simple, fun pre-weekend board.
building blocks
serves (1-2+)
apples, sliced
strawberries
cucumber, sliced + stars cut out
pepperonis
trail mix
nutella
mini pretzel rolls
salt + vinegar pringles
parmesean bites
a small bowl
animal themed picks
mini shape cutters
short glass
directions:
wash all produce
slice cucumber, cut out stars + serve both
serve strawberries with tops on
place trail mix in a bowl in center
scoop a serving size of nutella for two
place pretzel rods in the short glass for easy self serving
place other items all around the board, situating foods near by complimentary flavors
to encourage imagination + experimentation!
